Did you know at Auckland we have 23.8 trees but there is 39.8 of grassland. We need to have 40% of forest trees because if there is not enough oxygen no one will not be able to survive. We need trees because without trees we can’t make houses and can not have oxygen. We can’t breathe without oxygen. There's only one tree thats sucks up carbon dioxide and produces oxygen.
Trees are important because if we don’t have that much trees we will be hungry and we can’t survive. Cutting down trees is bad for all of the animals like monkeys birds and bambos. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, stores, carbon stabilise the soil and give life to the world's wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools, shelter, furniture and paper.
Though their leaves, trees take in carbon dioxide from the air,use it to make the sugar that is their food, and realese gases they don’t use back through their leaves.
