Waitangi day

The treaty of waitangi was signed 6th feb 1840. The treaty of Waitangi was signed by Captain William Hobson, sevaral english residents, and between 43 and 46 Moari rangatira. Moari people see the treaty of Waitangi by being positve. It brings them together, brings peace and share food. But Pakeha people see the treaty of Waitangi as a negative thing, and they think that theres no point in celebrating. It´s important to celebrate the treaty of Waitangi because it tells us about the pass and how Moaris came on this island. And it tells us who and when they signed the the treaty of Waitangi.
